Pebble released SDK2.0 for developers. Many things have changed...
Migrating faces/apps is difficult (according to my opinion).
The new SDK brings
Another really good improvement is the ability add a configuration page (html/js).
With this improvement you allow the user to make changes to the watchface/app.
For example date format, language, theme (dark/light), vibration on connection lost or battery low, hide/show digital time...
The only thing is that you need to host your html somewhere on the net. I actually read something that pebble is going to cache all the files and integrate it in to the app. But I'm not really sure about that.
I used the alternative to put the whole configuration page in to the URI (many thanks to Tom Gidden). This way you don't need a network connection to configure the watchface.
As a developer with the new function "pebble install" it's possible to directly install to the watch.
This brings a big benefit for developing because you're much faster...
"pebble logs" helps you when searching for an error or to monitor the usage of ram after unloading your watch.
"pebble screenshot" creates
The new Version brings also the appstore to the main pebble app.
There's now a dev portal where you can upload your faces/apps. It's also possible to add a marketing banner and up to 5 screenshots.
Conclusion about SDK2.0: Love it =)
